COVID-19 TOWN NEWS & LOCAL RESOURCES

Town Hall and the Police Department have re-opened to the public.  We encourage all visitors to practice safety precautions due to COVID-19.  
Council Meetings have also re-opened to the public, effective June 14, 2021.  You may continue to watch here on our Lamar Facebook page.
We will continue to update the town with latest news via our website.

As always, you may contact Town Hall for questions or assistance, Monday – Thursday 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. @ 843-326-5551. If calling during non-business hours, you may leave a message and someone will contact you as soon as possible.  You may also submit a contact form on our website.  Be sure to include details of your inquiry and a phone number where you may be reached.

It is recommended that those requesting new services or visiting Town Hall for business licenses or permits to make an appointment.  You may call Town Hall for appointments.

We encourage everyone to take standard precautions to stop the spread of illness:

  • Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water
  • If you are sick, stay home.
  • Cover your cough & dispose of tissues properly

HOURS: Monday – Thursday 10 a.m. – 7 p.m., Friday 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Family Dollar 8 a.m. – 9 p.m. Monday thru Saturday,   9 a.m. – 8 p.m. Sunday

For all after-hours water and sewer issues, please call Mike McDonald at 843-639-1503.

You may now visit Town Hall to remit your utility payments, however we want to remind you of the payment options for utilities:

  • Mail to Town Hall (P.O. Box 267 Lamar, SC 29069)  Make your check or money order payable to “Town of Lamar”
  • Use the drop box at Town Hall
  • Call 843-968-3192 for phone payments

EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY:  If your water is disconnected for non-payment, all trash receptacles will be removed from your premises until past due bills are brought current.
