In April, the Town of Lamar hosts the Egg Scramble Jamboree on Main Street.

Our little town gets all “dressed up” for the festivities with live entertainment, a parade, the Lamar Beauty Pageant, Taste of Lamar, Classic Car Show, arts and crafts and so much traditional southern food to choose from, you won’t want to leave!

Cartersville Country Winery is a working vineyard located on Lamar Hwy in Timmonsville.  First planted in 2009, muscadine grape vines line the 20-acre property where they have mastered the art of fine table wines.  From Honeymoon Delight to Moonlight Imagination, the names alone get your taste buds excited.

Come enjoy a sit on the porch overlooking their beautiful vineyard and taste a variety of wines.  An outside and inside event area is great for weddings and family get-togethers. Tom and Aubrey will even host you for an overnight stay in one of their inviting rooms complete with a jacuzzi!  They don’t mind you bringing your pets along, too.

A wine is more than just a sit and sip at a bar.  Enjoy a tour with a fun and friendly atmosphere- you will for sure visit again.
