Life Empowerment Community Outreach, Bishopville, SC, announces the availability of COVID-19 funds to assist the residents of Lee and Darlington Counties with a portion of the mortgage, rent, or utilities (electricity, water, or gas) payments.

These funds are available to families affected by COVID-19 or reside in Lee or Darlington Counties areas affected by high Covid-19 positivity rates.

Applications will be accepted February 1-18, 2022. One application accepted per household. Incomplete applications will not approve for funding. The applications will be available on a first-come first-served basis. Eligibility will be determined according to Federal Poverty Guidelines. Please note that the application will close prior to February 18, 2022, if all funds available for assistance are exhausted or run out.

Requirements:

Proof of residency (Lee or Darlington County)

Proof of all income received for the month of December or January (Benefits letter, bank statement showing direct deposits or check stubs)

Proof of assistance needed (delinquent mortgage bill, rental documentation or statement from Landlord of delinquency, utility- electric, water, or gas bill)

Proof of positive Covid-19 test results or contact with someone who tested positive
