Lamar Native, and former Governor David Beasley, serves as Chief Director for The United Nations World Food Programme.  It is the world’s largest humanitarian agency, providing food to millions across the globe in the fight against hunger.

The organization has won a Nobel Peace Prize for its efforts in combatting hunger!
