LAMAR GRANT AWARD

The Town of Lamar was just awarded a $500,000.00 Grant from Rural Infrastructure Authority of South Carolina (RIA).

This Grant will enable Lamar to totally upgrade its Zion Road sewer pump station; and to put in 3,200 feet of new gravity sewer line.

Completion of this project will result in a fully SC DHEC compliant pump station, and with the new sewer line, will help to minimize infiltration of storm water into the Town’s sewer system.

Zion Road pump station is one of four pump stations in our sanitary sewer infrastructure.

The Mayor and Town Council will continue to focus and work on improving the entire sanitary sewer infrastructure.  Stay tuned for future progress updates!
