I am a native of Lamar! I love our little town, where I serve many different ministries and committees. I attended and graduated from Spaulding High School in 1967. I then received my degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education from Francis Marion University. I also hold a Master of Education degree from Cambridge College of Boston, Massachusetts. I was a school teacher for Darlington School District, where I still volunteer since retirement.
I am a member of Sandy Grove United Methodist Church, where I serve as Lay Servant, Lay Leader, Recording Secretary, Sunday School Teacher and past Administrative Council Chairperson.
I am also a member of the Faithful Workers Chapter #229 OES, Past Matron and Past Grand Associate Deputy. I am the founder of Lee’s Angels- Mary B. Thomas Youth Girls Circle (MBTYGC), where we empower and develop fine young ladies. I serve Herions of Jericho J R Gee Court #22 and am an auxiliary to the AEONMS, PHA Crescent Court #143 Daughters and Past Illustrious Commandress. I have served as chairperson of the Darlington County Council on Aging, Director of the Sandy Grove/Cypress Community of Shalom and a proud member of the Lamar Revitalization Committee.
My husband, Ronnie W. Lee, and I live in Lamar, where we raised our three children. It is with great honor that I serve as a Council Member, representing the town and its citizens. I love Lamar and look forward to helping our sweet little town prosper and reaching its goals!
