SC Homeowner Rescue Program is available for homeowners in SC who have experienced hardships due to COVID-19, and are in need of financial assistance. This program will close April 20, 2023.

The Town of Lamar Police Department works hard to keep you safe.
We understand it may be hard sometimes to give information to the authorities when you feel threatened, uncomfortable or unsure.
As always, you may contact our anonymous tip line to report information to the Police Department.

Toiletries Drive
Genesis Healthcare is collecting toiletries for Healthcare for the Homeless Day. To donate, you may drop off at one of the many Genesis locations in our area, including Lamar Family Care on West Main Street. Last day to drop off is July 25!

The Town of Lamar and the Lamar Police Department will distribute Thanksgiving Dinners on November 25. We are asking local churches submit names of church family members who would be blessed by the giveaway.

Lamar Fall Events
The Town of Lamar has events for the whole family in October! Community building, Movie Nights & Fun at the Library for all. The Town will observe Halloween on October 30 from 4p-7p. Come down to N. Railroad Ave for a Trunk or Treat!
Adult Education at Spaulding Elementary
Darlington County School District is now holding evening classes at the old Spaulding Elementary School in Lamar. Evening classes are being held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:30 – 7:30.
